Jude Law in 'Enemy at the Gates'

I don't know why I never bothered to watch this movie during its theater run here. It's right up my alley since I love World War II stories and it involves the Russians. And Jude Law is here too! The story is quite gripping since Jude plays the role of a sniper who becomes a hero to his fellowmen in Stalingrad because of his war exploits. Because of this, the German top sniper, played by Ed Harris, wants him dead. The movie is heart-wrenching because all the main characters die, except for Rachel Weisz and of course, Jude's. For me, the most heart-wrenching was when the kid was hanged! That was quite a shocker! It's a beautiful love and historical story of heroism at a very trying time in world history!
